Welcome back to my new site! I hope to have everything on my new site flowing gracefully soon, but in the mean time I will have new posts weekly. I am also learning how to record all of my processes and posting on uTube.
Christmas is just around the corner and I have finally finished a card using a set of beautiful Spellbinders Gilded Ornaments. I have links below with a few of my affiliated links listed for this ornament set, plus other supplies for this fun project. I am going to give you an “almost” step-by-step photo process. I hope you enjoy it.
Photo 1 above is a shot of the Distress Oxide inks for each ornament background, ornament dies, and watercolor paper.
Photo 2 details the inks added to each of the watercolor papers.
Before they were completely dry I dripped/sprayed some shimmer with Perfect Pearls in Pearl diluted with water. I love this effect.
For Photo 3 I used the background circle die that is a part of this ornament die set.
For the ornaments’ overlays, Photo 4, I die cut each of them with
textured gold cardstock from my stash.
Photo 5 shows everything cut. The back and front of each ornament is glued with Perfect Paper Adhesive, see Photo 6, with the added hangers added.
In the pic above, Photo 7, I have added some designer paper to gold mirror cardstock for the outline.
This designer paper is from Love from Lizi shop. She has an amazing monthly card kit waiting for your subscription.
Her price points and what you receive are unbelievable!
And now for Photo 7 and the finished project. I added the Merry Christmas stamp using Memento Black Tuxedo ink and gold embossed on all sides of the sentiment.
I love that handwriting. I hope you like it.
The only thing I would do differently next time is make each ornament
background more vibrant.
“Christmas is Around The Corner” will be entered in the following challenges:
Through the Craft Room Door – Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin’ Christmas – Anything Christmas Goes
Crafting from the Heart – Anything Goes
