Welcome to a new challenge at Papercraft Business. This is my first post as a designer for Papercraft Business Challenge Blog and I am very excited. Papercraft Business challenges will always be “Anything Goes” and we will have an option. The option for April is “Birthday”. Our sponsor is Lawn Fawn and we have this adorable stamp set available to some lucky winner.
The stamp set I used is designed by Studio Katia exclusively for Simon Says Stamp Stamptember release. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate it at Simon Says Stamp or Studio Katia. I do have a stamp set listed in my affiliate links below that is similar. I hope that helps.
This time around I used my Copics for the coloring. I did use some blending cardstock, but I think I have a bad batch. I will probably go back to my Bristol 300 series or Bristol Mixed Media stock. They both blend very well. Anyway…my layer for the stamp is 4” x 5 1/8”. After the coloring was complete, I layered that stock onto a black layer that was 4 1/8” x 5¼”.
The above layers were attached to an A2, top folding card base. I stamped “Happy” with Memento Tuxedo Black. The birthday die (Tim Holtz Alterations) was cut three times and adhered together for more dimension. The last touches were coloring the center of the flowers with a yellow Copic, adding a gold glitter marker over the yellow, and last but not least, adding Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops to the background, for that little extra touch.
“Happy Birthday” will be entered in the following challenges:
Dare 2 Be Artzy – Your Favorite Colors
Star Stampz Challenge Blog – Throw on the Flowers
Simon Says Stamp – Anything Goes (Wednesday Challenge
Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #285 – Photo Inspiration
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope that you will join us for Papercraft Business challenge. Remember this is ATG with an optional twist of “Birthday”. See you again very soon!
