So glad you stopped by this cold Sunday (at least it’s cold in Tulsa, OK). I am so ready for spring and our hummingbirds. We are scheduled to get more freezing temps next week. “Go away winter!” Yes, I yelled.
Ellen Hutson LLC has a new release today. If you love Brandi Kincaid’s leading ladies, you’re in for a treat for the newest clear stamps. I have the complete new release listed below.
Because Mother’s Day is happening very soon, I decided to create an A2 sized card with Brandi’s “Everyday Hero Lady.” I sometimes feel a little stretched to my limit, as a lot of the female artists can sympathize. BUT, somehow things work out okay.
“Everyday Hero Lady” was begun with the Copic coloring first. I then fussy cute her out and added a black Copic to the white edges. Ellen does have the dies for this stamp set, but I decided not to use them.
Before I started the actual stamping I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper as the front panel and splattered some gold watercolor for my background. After that was dry I stamped “grit & grace” and “You Are” from the “Be Strong” stamp set. My “awesome” was created with gold mirror cardstock and two layers black cardstock. I made the three layers for dimension.
With the front panel complete, I added a second panel of gold mirror cardstock to compliment the “awesome” die. Those two panels were layered on the white A2 card base. Now it’s ready for a very deserving female.
“You are Awesome” will be entered in the following challenges:
Stamping Sensations – One for the Girls
Just Us Girls – Word Week BOLD – my word is “awesome”
Inspiration Destination – Always Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by. I love comments! If you could, please subscribe to my website (see right sidebar). If you have any questions, please contact me. I am not too far away.
