I hope that you all have been visiting our Brutus/Monroe Inspiration Team Blog. We are in cahoots with Winnie & Walter this week. It started on Sunday, August 19 and will end on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Our team has been posting some amazing projects.
My project was created with watercoloring on my mind. It felt remarkable to get back into my studio. I have been having issues with my back again and had to layoff everything for the last four weeks.
The clear stamp set that was involved with my card is Winnie & Walter’s “In Bloom: Anna’s Flora“. As most or you know I love all things floral, so much fun to color. My sentiment is from the Brutus/Monroe’s Botanical Banners. Both of these sets are going to get a lot of use.
For my background I used our surface sprays and added a few squirts of some other ink sprays with sparkles. I really wanted more blue, but in the end I stuck with my first try.
The sunflower, stem, and leaves, were watercolored with Zig Real Brush Markers. Love these markers. I fussy cut all the images. The sunflower was popped up with the adhesive dots and the stem and leaves were glued onto the background. My sentiment was stamped with our surface ink Lapis on gloss cardstock. Our surface inks are amazing on gloss cardstock.
